50 for 50: Provis Plants 50 Ghaf Trees to Celebrate the UAE’s 50th National Day

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 7 December 2021: In celebration of the UAE’s Golden Jubilee, Provis planted 50 Ghaf Trees, inviting residents, owners, and its employees to take part in the green and culturally significant initiative. The event took place in the Provis managed Al Bateen and Golf Gardens communities in Abu Dhabi. The Ghaf tree was recognised as the national tree of the UAE in 2008.

H.P Aengaar, CEO at Provis, said, “Planting the country’s national tree to celebrate the UAE’s historic milestone made perfect sense to us as it is both culturally significant and environmentally centred, two areas Provis cares deeply about, and is a symbol of stability and peace. In addition to planting Ghaf, we also organised several initiatives across the different communities we manage and invited residents to join us as we commemorate 50 years of unity.”

National Day celebrations provided residents with an opportunity to interact with one another, create a sense of coexistence, and acceptance of others and their cultures. Communities Provis manages are home to people from over 190 nationalities.
